Frequently Asked Questions!
So, why the 6-Day rule?
I find this system MUCH easier and a lot fairer than Forum systems. I am sure some Forum-Run games are great, but I got sick of games where people who spent ALL DAY writing essay-length Roleplays got all the points. This system is far and balanced, and only your skill in battle and clever planning of your week determines how strong you become.
This is a RPG for players who cannot spend all day on the net. If you have work, or school, or just can't make it onto the net every day then this RPG is for you! At the absolute lowest extreme you only have to check your character ONCE A WEEK, to send me your new week. ALWAYS send in your Weeks training! Or you can post on the forums, battle other players over chat, the forum or by my random dice rolling, and be involved in quests. Is this system very lazy? Sort of. So if you don't have access to the internet all day then join us, and you only need to check in maybe once a day, or maybe 3 times a week, or even once a week if you are incredibly lazy! Just make sure you send your Week's Training in!
So, how do I play?
You play by submitting a Weeks worth of training to me. You have SIX days to spend learning moves, fighting and training. On the 7th day I update all the new stats. You send me what you want to do in those 6 days once the week is over. That's the absolute minimum amount of work you have to do. You can also post in the Forum to take part in Sagas, and to interact with other players. HOWEVER you do not gain more stats by being a posting machine. You get them by using strategy when posting your week, and by occasionally either taking part in a Saga (on the Forum) or battling other members in Chat Battles. So Post your Weeks, and keep an eye out once a day for any new happenings.
Another way to play the game is to submit your Weeks training, and ignore all the Forum Sagas and Quests to just fight with your friends over MSN or another chat program in your spare time. Then you just need to send in who won and I can update your stats. You don't even need to help the other warriors out if you want! So grab a friend and battle with him/her three times a week using my system, and I'll update your stats for you!
What can I do in a week?
You can TRAIN, which gains you 5 Hit Points. You can SPAR, which is Training with another person. That person needs to put Spar in their week as well. This earns you 6 Hit Points. You can LEARN A NEW MOVE, by going to the Abilities page and looking up a good move. And you can go to the BATTLE ARENA, or take part in QUESTS. For more information on them, go to the Big City page.
How do I fight?
You have two options. One, you can let me do the fight. I use dice, so it is all random. The winner gets 10% of their opponents Hit Points. The loser gets 5% of the lowest fighters Hit Points. Or you can run a Chat Battle, which means you have control over what moves you do. You can fight 3 times a week maximum. Fighting is turn-based, going as follows:
Player 1 attacks, Player 2 attacks.
Add up HP totals.
Player 2 attacks, Player 1 attacks.
Add up HP totals.
Most of the time however you just let me run the fights. If you have access to a chat program such as MSN or AOL then you could run real-time ones, but people often can't get on the net at the same time as other people. It isn't fair to some that others can afford to spend all day waiting in chat rooms. For more information on Fights and How to Fight, head to the Forum.
What if I don't submit a Week?
If you don't submit a Weeks Training, I will put you on Training for FOUR days, instead of the Six days you would have got if you sent in a week. So make sure you send one in!
How does Ki Shield/Dodge work?
If your opponent fires a Ki move at your, you can use a Ki Shield to block some of it. Example:
Player 1 fires Ki Blast. Player 2 uses Ki Shield.
Player 2 would lose 8 HP instead of 10.
Dodge is the same, used to avoid a Physical Attack. *NOTE* The Sheilds or Dodges need to be used AFTER your opponent does a move. For example:
Player 1 uses Dodge, Player 2 uses Physical Attack.
This would NOT work because he Dodged before the move was even done.
What happens if both players use the same attack at the same time?
If both players do the same Physical attack at the same time, nothing happens. If they both use the same Ki attack, the Ki blasts hit each other and nobody gets hurt. HOWEVER if one persons Ki level is higher than the other persons, their attack will overpower their opponents. So make sure you have Powered Up!
What is Ki?
The higher your Ki, the more damage your Ki attacks do. Your Ki starts at 1. If you Power Up, it increases to 2. All your attacks do twice as much damage. If you increase it to 3, your attacks do 3 times as much damage. And so on. When you do a Ki move your Ki drops back down to 1.
How does Kaio-Ken Work?
When you do Kaio-Ken X10 you gain back 10% of your Starting HP. For example:
Goku has 100 HP. He does Kaio-Ken X10 and raises this to 110.
You can only use Kaio-Ken once per match. You can use it to go over your Starting HP as well. But you don't get to keep the changes after the match!
