Saiyan Pride!
Saiyan Pride is a different kind of RPG. A lot of sites spend their time in Forums, writing roleplays and such. Saiyan Pride is not like that at all. This is NOT one of those RP-based RPGS that favour players who spend ALL the time on the net writing ten-thousand word essays. For more information on why I chose this system, check out the FAQ section.
The game is played by sending me what you want to do once a week. You have SIX days a week to train, learn new moves and more. On the 7th day I update all the stats. You send me what you want to do on the Message Board. You can write Roleplays and messages on the Message Board, making allies with other players and finding enemies. Every so often I will run a saga , such as Frieza's Attack or The Cell Games.
Things you can do in a week:
Train: Gains you 5 HP a day.
Spar: Spar with another player. Gains both players 6 HP a day. Both players have to put Spar in their week.
Learn a New Move: You can start learning a new move. Check the Moves page for more information.
Battle Arena: Spend a day battling in the Battle Arena to gain money, HP or both! Check out Big City for more information.
Quest: Earn money and items completing tasks for King Kai!
So, a sample week could be the following:
Day 1: Train.
Day 2: Train.
Day 3: Start learning Power Punch (A 2 day move).
Day 4: Still learning Power Punch.
Day 5: Spar with Goku.
Day 6: Battle in Battle Arena
Don't worry if the rules sound complicated. They may sound so at first, but they are really quite simple. I do most of the work, it is up to the player to send in their 6 days of training, chat in the forums and have battles. Or you can let me run the battles. The site is designed for people who don't want to spend all day in a chat room waiting for a fight, or in a forum. Once you get the hang of the rules then you can organise chat fights, which mean you get a say in what happens.
I run the fights offline with dice. You have 6 moves at a time, and they each represent a number on the die.
Fighting.
When you ask to fight someone you have two choices: You can fight in chat battles with me watching to make sure who wins (or by sending me the chat script) or you can have me run the fights. This option is easier, all I do is use a dice to choose what move your character performs. You may only have THREE fights per week, as it takes a day to heal your character back up. You fight until someone reaches 0 HP. If you lose a fight, you'll have to hang your head in shame. If you win a fight then you gain 10% of the person you defeated's Hit Points. So the stronger the person your defeat, the more HP you will gain. If you lose a fight then you gain 5% of the person with the lowest Hit Points.
You can have as many moves as you like, but you can only use 6 in a battle, so make sure you choose which six to use beforehand! Fights are turn-based, and will go something like this:
Goku has 120 HP and Vegeta has 100 HP.
Goku uses Ki Blast on Vegeta, who uses his Physical Attack on Goku.
Goku 110, Vegeta 90.
Vegeta hits Goku with another Physical attack while Goku powers up to Ki level 2.
Goku 100, Vegeta 90.
Goku fires an Ki Blast, doing 20 damage. His Ki lowers to 1. Vegeta uses Ki Shield and takes 15 damage.
Goku 100, Vegeta 75.
You take turns doing the first move in a round. If Goku had the first move in a round, Vegeta would go first in the next round, to make it fair. Otherwise it would be one person constantly shooting fireballs at the other while they try and defend, not being able to get an attack in.
Ki is used to increase the damage done by Energy Attacks. If you powered up to 2 Ki your next Energy Attack would take off twice as much. Your Ki lowers back to 1 after doing an Energy Move. Some moves increase your Ki to 2 for ther rest of the fight. Ki does not effect damage done by Physical Attacks.
Items
You can find and purchase items in your quests. You have Zeni, which is the unit of currency in the Dragonball world, and you earn it by beating characters, doing quests and more. You can challenge a player to a fight and have your items or money as a prize. Check out Big City for more information.
Other Rules
Another option available to you will be the Battle Arena. It takes one day to use. In it I choose a random creature for you to fight located in the Battle Arena. Go to the Big City page for more information. Fighting gains you money and extra HP, but it is risky as you never know who you are going to fight!
QUESTS are a safer way to earn money. You just need to complete basic tasks to earn Zeni and various items.
SAGA's will be run in this website as well, with various villians coming down to do bad things. Saga's are where the Dragonballs will be handed out, as well as the option to get huge sums of money or increases in Hit Points.
